The Controversy over ... Hwy 81 or Rural Route 81?

Funny story.... so we are headed down 13 looking for the next turn ... 81, we run across a small dilemma.

Cat is driving and thinks she passed the road. So we turn around and see the sign for 81. Hollie says yes this is our turn- Cat responds, this goes no where! Hollie counters with, do you realize where we are going is -no where, we need 81. We turn around and down this "Rural Route" 81 and see the dirt road above realizing if this is our turn we may want to consult the GPS or Mapquest again. We soon realize they have a rural route 81 and an hwy 81 all within a mile??? Who would have known.

The landscape is breathless, aside from snow and water- nothing for miles.
